Unique Hen's Night Ideas...

Planning a hen’s party can be a daunting task. You want it to be fun but you also don’t want to have to beat off a bunch of oiled up male strippers (or do you?).

If male strippers and veils with phalluses on them aren’t really the style of the bride to be, consider something a little more original but no less fun. For example, is the bride to be a water nut? If so, why not hire a small cruiser for a sail down the river, or for a more extended hen’s party celebration, book all the girls a place on an ocean cruiser for a week away filled with sunny ship decks and yummy cocktails.

If the affliction with water is more hands on, the bride and her friends can spend a few days learning to surf or snorkel. You don’t have to do this at home either. You and the girls can all head off on a hen’s weekend to a tropical island with beaches just perfect for surfing, swimming and sipping champagne.

If you like the idea of an adventurous hen’s party, you and the girls could learn something other than surfing. For example, you could all learn to rock climb and abseil or you could really get your adrenalin pumping with a day of parachuting or bungee jumping.

For the alternative hen, you can substitute the hire of a stripper for the hire of a psychic and you can all have your fortunes told and your palms read. This is also a great way to kick off the hen’s party celebrations as the bride’s mum, grandma and aunties won’t feel uncomfortable or left out. Just make sure the psychic knows it is a hen’s night and doesn’t go predicting the end of the bride’s marriage after a year!

The main thing is that the hen’s party involves something the hen enjoys and this makes the day, the weekend or the week long adventure a lot of fun. The hen’s party is supposed to be a celebration of the hen and an opportunity for her to let her hair down one last time as a ‘single girl’ for a party she will always remember.
